Transition from College to University

College to University This post is all about the transition from college to university, what to expect and everything you need to know based on my personal experience! Obviously we all know going to university from college is going to be challenging and hard for some of us, but from being a college student to a university student, honestly it is an absolutely huge culture shock. One that I don't think I ever could've been prepared for. It's a transition you've just got to deal with and embrace because trust me when I say, it'll be the best experience ever when you do. Here are just a few of the key differences in being a college student to a university student; 1.You are in this on your own. You're basically being thrown into adulthood, straight into the deep end. You don't get to go home to everything already done for you anymore, you have no help, got to fend for yourself and you better get your self domesticated. Making appointments for ...

Reading Challenge | 2019

Reading Challenge 2019 If you guys read my post about my goals for the end of 2019 then you will know that this is a goal I really want to complete and achieve before the year is out. My Reading Challenge for the remainder of 2019 is to read 5 books. This post is really just a launch post to track my progress. The book I'm reading at the moment is... 'The Little Teashop of Lost and Found by Trisha Ashley' . I started reading this on the 11th of July 2019 I'm a few chapters in and I'm really enjoying it.

Earning Money Online

Earning Money Online As a student, this summer I've found it relatively difficult to find a summer job to earn myself a bit of money. Whilst I've been looking I've been actively using these few websites and apps to help me earn a little extra money to help me do the fun things I want this summer. Please do bear in mind that none of these websites and apps produce a huge amount of money, but for an odd £5-£10 a week they are worth a bit of effort if you don't have much more to do. Obviously if you want to put the time and effort in you could earn more than £5/£10 a week but casually using these sources, you're only going to get the minimum from them I guess. 1. Opinion Outpost - Opinion Outpost is a great survey website with so many opportunities to earn money through surveys. They vary in incentives, for example a 10 minute survey may be work 5 points, or a 30 minute survey may be work 20 points. To cash out £2.50 through Paypal you need to have...

End of 2019 Goals!

End of 2019 Goals! So, I know it's probably a bit of an odd time to make this post but who cares I'm feeling motivated and inspired & I have a small list of things I want to accomplish before 2019 is out, albeit there's only 5 months left of this year! 1. Reading Challenge 2019 So it speaks for itself, I want to prioritise reading again. I love it but I never do it anymore and I have a pile of books I really want to read and indulge myself in. The challenge is to try and read 5 books before 2019 is over. I will create an on-going blog post to keep track and to update regularly when i finish a book, just to track my own achievements of finishing (hopefully) 5 books. 2. Pass my driving theory est  Self-explanatory really, I just need to revise, revise, revise & pass! 3. Pass my driving test. I still need to pass my theory test obviously. But hopefully, my lessons are on-going at the moment and are going really well. Fingers...

Pamper Routine | Summer Edition 2019

Image
Today's post is all about my current Pamper Routine Summer 2019 for relaxing and just taking abit of time out to look after myself and feel zen! It's so important to look after yourself and have some you time.  It's extremely underrated. First I like to have a glass or two of refreshing lemon water , I use lemon rather than pre brought, lemon water in a bottle. Lemon is good for your body, it hydrates you and flushes out toxins in your body. About twice a week I like to use a round body brush to dry brush all over. In circular motions working towards your heart is supposed to be the best to stimulate and encourage circulation and blood flow. It's also good for some exfoliation. Then I'll run a nice relaxing bubble bath with some sort of bath bomb or bubble bath, sometimes I'll use both. Just as an example I've chosen the Radox Feel Relaxed Lavender and Waterlily bubble bath with the Luxury Lush Pud bath bom...

Studying LLB Law and Criminal Justice

My Course - LLB Law and Criminal Justice So, this post is all about the course that I'm currently studying is LLB Law and Criminal Justice at De Montfort University in Leicester. I've recently finished first year of my undergraduate degree and so, so excited for second year, but more about that when I get to it. I chose the course way back when, half way through my last year in college when I was deciding what I wanted to study. I browsed through the options and landed on this one. My first year consisted of completely compulsory and absolutely CORE modules including; Law of Contract; Constitutional and Administrative Law; Criminal Law and English and European Legal Contexts. These four core modules from first year are compulsory to gaining a qualifying Law Degree. There are a few more core modules that you have to undertake in second and third year also, as well as optional modules to tailor your degree. Exam wise, first year studying law at De ...

Self - Love

Self - Love Being as it's that time of year, where love hearts and red roses are everywhere, in the spirit of Valentines Day It's important not to forget who's the most important! YOU! You deserve to love yourself and take care of yourself and prioritise number uno! Let's not forget that you don't need a significant other to love and spoil this Valentines Day, spoil yourself and love you! With that in mind, I thought I'd share some self-love and self-care tips that you can do to spoil and treat yourself this Valentines season! 1.   Have a chilled and relaxing, do absolutely nothing day!  - Get your favourite and comfy pjs on, get a nice cuppa or hot choc, some snacks and sit infront of the TV all day. Have a Netflix or a Now TV day and snuggle in your dressing gown or with a blanket and enjoy doing nothing! 2. Have your favourite dinner! - Whether that's take out or made by you, have your favourite meal and enjoy it! P.s don't forget to d...

February Goals | 2019

February Goals 2019 Hey guys, so, so sorry for the late post. However, fear no more, I'm here with my February Goals for 2019! January Round Up! Now, as promised, I'm going to do a quick January round up for you all! As far as my goals for January, I've not been the best, to say the least. First off, with regards to my driving test theory, I've started revising, however, the revision has been to a bare minimum. I have actually downloaded the theory app, which is a start I guess and better than nothing, however I didn't book it. Oops, my bad! Second of all, I haven't started my driving lessons either! Lets just say, in the middle of January I lost my motivation and as a result, I just haven't yet booked any lessons. My New Years Resolutions aren't off to the best start aye? However, rest assured, I have in fact been exercising significantly more than I ever have before. It isn't a lot, but more than I have done before. I found a few exerc...

January Goals | 2019

January Goals 2019 Hi guys! I know i'm over a week late in posting my January goals, despite saying I would post them in my New Years Resolution post, but my goals still stand! I've been busy revising and cramming for an exam at uni that I had to sit yesterday so I've just been concentrating on that for the last week or so, which is why I haven't posted. However, now my exam is out of the way I have more time to focus on my blog and working on and producing some better content for my page. So briefly my goals for this month are as goes; 1)  Start revising for my theory. I'm going to download the apps on my phone so I can practice all the time and practice whenever I can. I'm going to try and book my theory at the end of Jan if I feel I'm ready, but if not my goal is just to start revising anyway. So booking it will be a bonus really! 2)  Start driving lessons ,  which I know I probably won't book until the end of the month...
